- Prepare 2-3 drops of rose essence.
- Prepare as needed of Dry fruits of your choice.
- Prepare 1 tsp of ghee.
- Provide 1 of Cardomom/Elaichi.
- Get 1 of bay leaf.
- You need as needed of Few kesar strands for garnishing.
Steps to make Payesh/Bengali Kheer ❤️:
- First soak the rice in water for half an hour. Now take a tadka pan, add a tsp of ghee and fry the dry fruits and keep it aside..
- Now boil the milk adding a bay leaf to it. This would enhance its flavour, then add the soaked rice to it. Now add the fried dry fruits & elaichi. Mix everything well. Boil it till the rice 70 percent done..
- Now add sugar & rose essence to it. Mix it well. Cook the rice till it's completely done. Now switch off the flame. And garnish it with some chopped dry fruits & kesar strands. Let it come to room temperature then keep it in a refrigerator for an hour or two & serve chilled. ❤️❤️.
