The ingredients needed to cook Surti Khamani:

  1. Get 200 gm of besan/gram flour.
  2. Take 1/2 tsp of Nimbu ful(citric acid).
  3. Use 1/2 tsp of Soda Bicarbonate.
  4. Get 3 tsp of Small mustard seeds.
  5. Get 3 tsp of Sesame seeds.
  6. Get 2-3 of Green Chillies.
  7. Take 3-4 tsp of Powdered Sugar.
  8. You need 1/2 tsp of haldi/Turmeric powder.
  9. Use To taste of Salt.
  10. Prepare 1 pinch of hing/ asafoetida.
  11. Provide As needed of Water for mixing the mixture.
  12. Get 7-8 of Curry leaves.
  13. Use of For garnishing.
  14. Provide handful of nylon sev/bhujiya.
  15. Take handful of Pomegranate seeds.
  16. Provide 2 tsp of coriander leaves finely chopped.

Steps to make Surti Khamani:

  1. In a bowl take besan add haldi and salt and mix it properly. Now add a cup of water mix it properly. Add Limbu ka ful and add little water mix properly. Now add soda and see the consistency of the batter. It should be pouring consistency. Pour in a grease pan and steam for 15 mnts and check by inserting the knife it should come out clean..
  2. Let it cool. Once it is cooled cut into squares and than crumbled the batter fully with hand.
  3. Now in a big deep khadai, add oil, once it's hot put hing, mustard seeds, sesame seeds, finely chopped green chillies and Kadi patta. Now add half cup 3/4 cup water and sugar. Once it boils add the crumbled Khanan and mix well..
  4. The tasty tasty Khamani is ready. Now garnish with pomegranate, nylon sev/bhujiya and finely chopped coriander leaves. To accompany it take 3-4 fried green chillies and relish this super tasty healthy breakfast with hot masala chai👌👌.
