The ingredients needed to prepare Undhiyu:

  1. You need 1 tbsp of dry peas.
  2. You need 1 tbs of dry dal (broad beans).
  3. Prepare 1 tbsp of dry kala chana(chickpeas).
  4. Get 1 tbsp of dry lobia.
  5. Get 1 tbsp of dry red dal.
  6. Take 2 tsp of ginger garlic and green chillies (crushed).
  7. Provide to taste of Salt.
  8. Take 4 tbsp of oil.
  9. Take 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder.
  10. Use 1 tsp of Garam masala.
  11. Use 2 of Raw Bananas.
  12. Use 2 of medium size potatoes.
  13. Provide 1 Bowl of Muthiya.
  14. Provide 1 tsp of Red chilli powder.
  15. Take 1 of medium size Brinjal.
  16. You need 1 of yum.
  17. You need of To make Muthiya.
  18. Use 1 Bowl of Besan(Gram flour).
  19. You need 1/2 Bowl of Fenugreek leaves.
  20. Provide 1 tsp of ginger garlic (crushed).
  21. Prepare to taste of Salt.
  22. You need 1/2 tsp of Turmeric powder.
  23. Take 1 tsp of Red chilli powder.
  24. Prepare as needed of Oil to fry.

Steps to make Undhiyu:

  1. To make Muthiya, mix all Muthiya ingredients together. Make a hard dough. Take a small portion and give shape like Muthiya and fry on medium-low flame. Keep it ready..
  2. Soak all the dry ingredients for overnight or minimum 8 hours. Chop all vegetables into big pieces..
  3. Take a heavy bottom cooker. Add oil, crushed ginger garlic and green chillies and asfoitida. Saute for some time. Add red chilli powder turmeric powder and Garam masala.
  4. Now add all soaked grams. Add vegetables..
  5. Add fried Muthiya. Salt and half glass water. Close the cooker and give 5-7 whistles. Let it cool. Open and mix it softly..
  6. Serve with Roti or Puri or Paratha.
