The ingredients needed to cook Lentil chips:

  1. Provide 1 cup / 140 gm of Red split lentils.
  2. Provide 1 cup of water.
  3. Use 4 tbsp of Tomato puree.
  4. You need 1 slice of Onion.
  5. Take 2 cloves of Garlic.
  6. Get 1 tsp of Smoked paprika.
  7. Take 1/2 tsp of Turmeric.
  8. Provide 2 tbsp of vinegar.
  9. Provide pinch of Salt and Pepper.
  10. Prepare 1 tbsp of dried Basil.

Instructions to make Lentil chips:

  1. Soak the lentils in salted water for at 3 hours, Drain and rinse the lentils then add to a blender with everything else apart from dried celery.Blend until smooth then stir in the dried celery.Pour onto a grease-proof paper lined baking dish and spread to the sides. If you have a dish that fills a normal oven then this will make one batch, the more you make thin layer.faster it gets cooked in oven. So it's batter to divide in to 2 batches. Preheat oven at 180 for 15mins.Bake for 30mins.
  2. Then remove from oven and allow to cool for 10mins.Remove baking sheet and cut into triangles.Place lentil chips directly on an oven wire rack then bake for another 30mins at 180C until it's dry..
  3. Remove the chips from oven before the sides catches, while it still is golden and crispy.
